Madiha graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Law (Hons) majoring in Law and Political Science. She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Auckland High Court in November 2024.
Madiha worked as a Judges’ Clerk at the Auckland High Court in 2024.
Due to her own lived experience, she is quite passionate about contributing to the refugee law space. Outside of work, she is a community advocate and spends most of her time doing community work. She is currently part of the UNHCR Refugee Advisory Group, New Zealand Refugee Advisory Panel (NZRAP), and the New Zealand National Refugee Youth Council (NZNRYC).
