You should know your rights when it comes to your assets. Many people are not aware of the provisions of the Property (Relationships) Act when it comes to dividing assets. Even fewer are aware that the home in which the parties reside, even if it is owned by one party in their sole name, is deemed to be the family home and therefore relationship property under the Act.
