Case Study

The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care’s hearing of lived experiences of whānau Māori abused in State and faith-based care concluded on Friday 18 March 2022.

How We Helped

On Tuesday 15 March 2022, Dixon & Co Lawyers’ Senior Associate, Alisha Castle, led the evidence of Reverend Dinah Lambert. Reverend Lambert shared her experience of abuse in the care of an Anglican children’s home, and how she went on to join the Tikanga Māori arm of the Anglican Church as part of her reconnection to her maoritanga.
